Program Structure
Quantum University’s Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) in Tourism Management is a 3-year full-time undergraduate program designed to build future leaders in the tourism and hospitality industry. Aligned with NEP 2020 and NCrF guidelines and structured under the Choice-Based Credit System (CBCS), the program combines core business fundamentals with specialized knowledge in travel, tourism, and hospitality management. Students study foundational subjects such as management principles, business economics, financial accounting, and business communication alongside tourism-specific courses. Credits are earned across nine categories: Discipline Specific Core (DSC), Discipline Specific Elective (DSE), Multidisciplinary Core (MDC), Multidisciplinary Minor/Open Electives (MN/OE), Ability Enhancement Courses (AEC), Skill Enhancement Courses (SEC), Value Added Courses (VAC), Summer Internship (SI), and Project (PR). The curriculum includes key areas like travel agency management, tour operations, tourism marketing, cultural and heritage tourism, hospitality operations, sustainable tourism, and global travel trends. The program emphasizes experiential learning through field visits, travel simulations, industry interactions, and real-time tourism projects. Each semester includes practical assignments, followed by a mandatory summer internship after the third semester and a comprehensive research project in the final year. This program equips students with the managerial, operational, and customer service skills needed to excel in travel agencies, tour companies, airlines, hotels, and tourism boards.
