Program Structure
Quantum University’s Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) in Retail Management is a 3-year full-time undergraduate program designed to prepare students for dynamic careers in the fast-evolving retail industry. Aligned with NEP 2020 and NCrF guidelines and structured under the Choice-Based Credit System (CBCS), the program offers a blend of foundational business knowledge and specialized training in retail operations. Core subjects include management principles, business economics, financial accounting, and business communication, complemented by retail-specific topics. Students earn credits across nine categories: Discipline Specific Core (DSC), Discipline Specific Elective (DSE), Multidisciplinary Core (MDC), Multidisciplinary Minor/Open Electives (MN/OE), Ability Enhancement Courses (AEC), Skill Enhancement Courses (SEC), Value Added Courses (VAC), Summer Internship (SI), and Project (PR). The curriculum covers key areas such as retail marketing, visual merchandising, store layout and design, supply chain management, retail analytics, consumer behavior, and e-retail strategies. Emphasis is placed on hands-on learning through live projects, case studies, retail audits, and simulations of in-store operations. Students also undergo a mandatory summer internship after the third semester and complete a major research project in the final year. The program equips graduates with the managerial, analytical, and customer engagement skills necessary to thrive in retail chains, e-commerce companies, and retail consultancy roles.
