Course Structure

To graduate with a bachelor's degree from Quantum University, students must earn credits from courses that are broadly divided into four categories: Foundation Courses, Major Courses (including program core and program electives), open electives, and Passion Programs (PROPS). The number of credits to be earned/ passed would depend on the program that the student is pursuing.

Minors

The university offers a diverse range of minor programs and open electives, empowering students to tailor their education according to their interests and career goals. To earn a MINOR degree, a student needs to complete an additional 24 credits of a particular MINOR (offered by a department) starting from the 3rd semester. The option to pursue a MINOR is optional. Students can choose not to do a MINOR and instead study open elective courses in different departments.

The Flexible Credit System ties up courses ranging from introductory to advanced levels. These courses cater to students of varying capabilities. The greatest advantage of this new approach is that it allows students to choose the courses, the difficulty level, and the pace of learning.

Hons. Programs with Research

Students can choose to pursue an additional 4th year of study in the 3-year programs like BA or BSc, to complete Hons with Research. The students would spend their 4th year doing research projects, writing dissertations, etc. After completing the 4th year and getting a degree of “Hons with Research, ” the students are eligible to get direct admission to the PhD program.

Skill Courses

As part of Quantum University’s commitment to holistic student development, the institution offers a comprehensive range of skill courses designed to enhance both technical and soft skills. These courses cover various areas such as communication, leadership, project management, and digital literacy, providing students with a 360-degree approach to personal and professional growth. Major in Hotel Management with a Minor in Entrepreneurship

Hotel management is a challenging field that needs harmonizing activity in front office operations, food and beverage production and distribution, and accounting. Modern trends in the hospitality industry have added a focus on sales, marketing, maintenance, and security. Training in Entrepreneurship develops creative business thinking. This enhances risk-taking ability via dedicated risk management. This combination of subjects helps individuals diversify their hotel business to manage capital with a risk purview, actively profile loans and funds, optimize business cycles, and maximize profit scenarios.

Major in Physics with a Minor in Mathematics

This combination would suit prospective students in research in physics or Mathematics. Physics fascinates with its intellectual challenge and numerous applications in engineering and technology. It explores nature via theoretical models. Experimental physics tests theories. It's a vibrant field. Students can explore relativity, quantum mechanics, statistical mechanics, Lagrange-Hamilton formulation, action principles, and quantum field theories. Mathematics helps make the qualitative physical models quantitative and amenable to experimental exploration. Therefore, a minor in mathematics would prove most beneficial to a physics course.
