Front Office Lab

Front Office Lab

The Front Office Lab simulates the reception and lobby area of a hotel, providing students with practical exposure to guest handling, reservations, and property management systems. It is equipped with a reception counter, key racks, bell desk, information desk, and computer systems with PMS (Property Management Software) for practice.

Purpose:
To train students in the core functions of hotel front office operations including reservations, registration, guest relations, billing, and check-out procedures.
Activities / Training Includes:
Reservation handling (manual & computerized).
Guest registration process and check-in/check-out formalities.
Use of Property Management Systems (e.g., Opera, IDS, Fidelio).
Telephone etiquette and handling guest queries.
Cashiering and settlement of bills.
Coordination with housekeeping and other departments.
Handling complaints and guest relation skills.
Role plays and mock situations for real hotel environment practice.
