Bulk Food Production Lab

The Bulk Food Production Lab is a specialized kitchen designed for large-scale cooking operations, similar to those in hotels, industrial kitchens, banquets, and catering services. It is equipped with large cooking ranges, steam-jacketed kettles, trolleys, storage units, industrial ovens, and modern kitchen appliances.
Purpose:
To provide practical training in quantity food production, large-scale menu planning, cost control, and teamwork in professional kitchens.
Activities / Training Includes:
Preparation of meals in bulk for 50–200 or more covers.
Planning and executing menus for banquets, hostels, and large events.
Practice in Indian, continental, and international cuisines at scale.
Portion control, standardization of recipes, and minimizing food wastage.
Coordination and teamwork in a large kitchen setup.
Hygiene, safety, and sanitation management in bulk cooking operations.
