The department celebrated World Radiology Day on 8 November 2025 with a full day of activities that brought students and faculty together to explore the growing world of radiology and imaging sciences. The program began at 10:30 AM in the Mini Auditorium, which was filled with a lively atmosphere as participants gathered to learn, present, and engage with the subject in a hands-on way.

The day opened with a Model Presentation Competition based on the theme of Radiology Equipment and Machines. Students prepared detailed working and non-working models that reflected both creativity and technical understanding. Many teams presented models of CT scanners, MRI machines, ultrasound systems, and advanced radiographic equipment. Their presentations covered how each machine functions, its importance in diagnosis, and recent innovations in the field.

The first position was awarded to Vijaylakshmi, Labh, Vineeta, and Soumya for their well-structured model and clear explanation. The runner-up position went to Deepshika, Tanishka, Vishu, and Vanshika, who impressed the judges with their neat design and practical demonstrations.
The next event was the PowerPoint Presentation Competition, where participants shared their research and insights on different imaging technologies, radiation safety, and the role of radiology in modern clinical practice. The first prize was secured by Muskan and Sonu, whose presentation stood out for its clarity and real-world examples. Neha and Ankur were announced as the runners-up for their informative content and confident delivery.

A key highlight of the celebration was a guest lecture by Dr. Vikas Kumar, an expert in medical imaging. He introduced students to the latest advancements in diagnostic imaging, including AI-assisted reporting, interventional radiology, 3D imaging, and its expanding role in early disease detection. He also discussed the skills required to succeed as a radiologist and the growing demand for imaging specialists in hospitals and diagnostic centers. The session helped students connect classroom learning with real-world medical applications.
The event concluded with a skit performance by students that aimed to spread awareness about the importance of timely imaging, the responsibilities of radiologists, and how accurate imaging supports better patient outcomes. The skit used simple language and relatable situations, making it easy for everyone to understand the message.

The celebration wrapped up at 3:30 PM and was organized under the guidance of Mr. Harshit Sehrawat, Ms. Mahima Dwivedi, Mr. Sourabh Chandra, and Mr. Jasveer Singh, who ensured smooth coordination throughout the day. Their efforts encouraged strong student participation and helped create an atmosphere of learning and enthusiasm.
The event proved to be an engaging and meaningful experience for students. It strengthened their understanding of radiology, encouraged curiosity about the field, and highlighted how imaging continues to transform modern healthcare.
