The Department of Computer Science and Engineering, in collaboration with the Department of Computer Applications, organized a Workshop on Hands-on Training in Computer Hardware on November 27, 2025, at the Central Library, Quantum University. The workshop was conducted by Dr. Satender Kumar, Dean Academics, and Dr. Brij Mohan Singh, Director, QST, to strengthen students’ practical understanding of computer hardware systems.

The session was designed to bridge the gap between theoretical knowledge and real-world application. Students were introduced to essential computer hardware components, system architecture, and the internal functioning of a computer system. The workshop covered key aspects such as hardware assembly, installation procedures, fault identification, and basic troubleshooting techniques used in real-time scenarios.

Students from B.Tech and BCA programs actively participated in the workshop and engaged closely with the hands-on demonstrations. The interactive nature of the session enabled students to gain practical experience with hardware handling, diagnostics, and maintenance practices, thereby helping them develop technical confidence and problem-solving skills.

With strong student participation, the workshop proved to be an engaging and impactful learning experience. The practical demonstrations and expert guidance helped students better understand hardware operations and prepared them to handle technical challenges related to computer systems more effectively.
The workshop reflected the university’s commitment to experiential learning and skill-based education, enabling students to gain industry-relevant knowledge alongside their academic curriculum.
