Where Young Minds Took the Floor

The 3rd Edition of the Shri Atal Bihari Vajpayee Memorial Youth Parliament and Modern United Nations emerged as a celebration of youth engagement, democracy, and leadership. Hosted with remarkable energy and discipline, the event witnessed passionate participation from students representing diverse academic and cultural backgrounds

Throughout the event, five powerful simulations served as arenas where students transformed into policymakers, diplomats, journalists, and social reformers. Each committee tackled real-world challenges, enabling students to understand the complexity of policy-making and build skills in debate, negotiation, and empathy.

“It wasn’t just a debate – it was democracy in action, by the youth, for the future.”

Lok Sabha: Questioning the Past, Shaping the Future

The Lok Sabha simulation plunged into the deeply layered issue of Evaluating the Reservation System in India. Delegates displayed intellectual maturity while discussing social justice, meritocracy, and equal opportunity. They presented reform ideas that respected the historical need for reservation while proposing paths toward balanced socio-economic development.

“Students didn’t just discuss policy—they rewrote the script of equality with fresh perspectives.”

All India Stakeholders Meet (AISM): Navigating Identity and Inclusion

In the AISM committee, students engaged in a spirited yet sensitive debate on the Citizenship Amendment Act (CAA). Acting as lawmakers, community representatives, and activists, participants dissected the law from legal, ethical, and humanitarian lenses.

Their deliberations highlighted the importance of transparent governance, inclusive citizenship, and the preservation of India’s secular ethos.

“Voices from every walk of life filled the hall with hope and challenge, echoing the spirit of public dialogue.”

UNHRC: Cybersecurity Meets Human Rights

As technology redefines human interaction, the United Nations Human Rights Council tackled the topic of Strengthening Cyber Laws and Ensuring Human Rights Protection. Delegates drafted frameworks to address cyberbullying, data theft, surveillance, and digital governance.

The outcome was a set of globally inspired, locally relevant proposals to safeguard digital dignity and privacy in a hyper-connected world.

“In a digital age, coding isn’t the only skill—compassion and caution matter just as much.”

UNCSW: For Every Woman, A Voice and A Vote

The United Nations Commission on the Status of Women (UNCSW) confronted two vital global issues: Enhancing Women’s Political Participation and Combating Gender-Based Violence. Participants proposed legislative reforms, quota systems, and educational initiatives to uplift women as leaders and protect them as citizens.

“Their voices carried the legacy of countless women who broke barriers—and inspired those yet to rise.”
