Quantum University Roorkee successfully organized Q-Hackathon 2026, a 36-hour intercollegiate innovation sprint conducted by the CodeX Club under the Department of Computer Science & Engineering and Computer Applications. The event witnessed participation from more than 350 students representing over 10 colleges and universities, making it one of the region’s most vibrant platforms for technology, innovation, and collaborative learning.
The hackathon aimed to encourage students to develop practical and impactful solutions to real-world challenges through innovation, teamwork, and technical excellence. Participants worked continuously for 36 hours across five major tracks: AI for Real-World Impact, Cybersecurity & Digital Safety, Blockchain & Digital Economy, Smart India & Sustainable Technology, and Open Innovation. Students developed innovative prototypes using technologies such as Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, IoT, Web Development, App Development, Cloud Computing, and Blockchain.
The event witnessed participation from 75 teams comprising B.Tech, BCA, and MCA students from various states across India. Throughout the hackathon, participants received mentorship and technical guidance from faculty members, industry experts, and evaluators. The inaugural ceremony was graced by Hon’ble Vice Chancellor Prof. (Dr.) Vivek Kumar along with distinguished industry experts Mr. Satyendra Singh from Accenture and Mr. Tushar Singhal from MakeMyTrip, who emphasized the importance of innovation-driven learning and industry-oriented problem-solving.
After multiple evaluation rounds based on innovation, technical implementation, scalability, usability, and presentation quality, Team CODESCYTHE from Tula’s Institute, Dehradun emerged as the winner of Q-Hackathon 2026. Team members included Ritish Dhar, Prashant Krishan Bharti, Aditya Rawat, and Tabeer Hussain. Team Game Of Nodes from Quantum University secured the first runner-up position with team members Ashmit Kumar, Indra Mohan Kumar, Utkarsh Raj, and Aditya Singh. Winners were honored with trophies, certificates, and cash prizes during the closing ceremony.
Q-Hackathon 2026 successfully promoted innovation, experiential learning, collaboration, and networking among young technologists and innovators. The event further strengthened Quantum University’s reputation as a hub for technical excellence, creativity, and startup-oriented learning while inspiring students to build technology-driven solutions for societal challenges.
