Roorkee, August 29, 2025 – In today’s fast-paced and highly competitive world, the ability to stand out is what defines true success. Keeping this in mind, the Department of Computer Science & Engineering (CSE) and Computer Applications (CA) at Quantum University, Roorkee, organized an engaging and empowering event titled “Be the Students Who Stand Out: How to Differentiate Yourself from Thousands of Others” on 29th August 2025 at Unity Hall.
The event was conducted by Ms. Shaifaly Sangal, a renowned ICF-Certified Coach and POSH Consultant, and was coordinated by Ms. Parul Tyagi. The session witnessed the enthusiastic participation of over 300 B.Tech and BCA students, making it one of the most impactful gatherings of the semester.

Key Highlights of the Session
Ms. Sangal captivated the audience with her practical insights on how students can carve a niche for themselves in an increasingly crowded professional landscape. She emphasized that academic knowledge alone is not enough—what truly sets individuals apart is their ability to:
- Build a strong personal brand that reflects their values and strengths.
- Communicate with confidence in both professional and personal settings.
- Adopt a growth-oriented mindset to continuously learn and evolve.
- Develop unique skills that align with future career opportunities.
- Embrace individuality instead of blending into the crowd.

Through real-life examples, interactive discussions, and motivational guidance, Ms. Sangal encouraged students to focus on holistic growth. She highlighted how the combination of technical expertise, soft skills, and emotional intelligence can help them stand out in job interviews, internships, and entrepreneurial journeys.
Student Engagement
The session wasn’t just a lecture—it was a two-way interaction. Students actively participated, asked thought-provoking questions, and reflected on their own strengths and career aspirations. The energy in the hall was palpable as students resonated with the message of self-differentiation and personal empowerment.
Takeaways for the Students
By the end of the event, students walked away with:
- Clarity on how to position themselves in a competitive market.
- Practical tools for self-improvement and confidence building.
- Inspiration to pursue their unique passions without fear of comparison.
