The Department of Commerce and Finance organized Nivesh Setu: Poster Presentation on Banking Schemes and Financial Inclusion on 26 November 2025. The event was held under the guidance of faculty coordinator Ms. Rupali Khurana, with Kirti and Saurav Pal from B.Com 3rd year serving as student coordinators. The initiative aimed to deepen students’ understanding of financial inclusion and create awareness about the government schemes designed to support economic empowerment.

A total of 14 students from B.Com 1st, 2nd and 3rd year participated in the presentation. They prepared detailed and visually engaging posters explaining various government-backed banking schemes. Some of the key schemes presented included Pradhan Mantri Mudra Yojana, Sukanya Samriddhi Yojana, and Atal Pension Yojana. Each poster outlined the objectives, eligibility criteria, financial benefits and long term advantages of these programmes. Students also highlighted how these schemes help bridge financial gaps, support women empowerment, encourage entrepreneurship and provide security for vulnerable groups.
The evaluation was conducted by Ms. Isha Manaktala, Assistant Professor, Department of Humanities. She appreciated the clarity, creativity and research quality showcased by the participants. She also noted how effectively the students simplified complex financial concepts for better understanding.

After the assessment, Shreya Arora (B.Com 3rd year) was declared the winner for her well organized and insightful presentation. Roshani Kumari secured the runner up position for her strong conceptual understanding and neat visual layout.
The event concluded with positive feedback for all participants. Faculty members encouraged students to continue exploring the role of financial inclusion in India’s development and to stay informed about important government initiatives. The poster presentation served as a valuable learning experience, helping students connect academic concepts with real-world banking practices and national financial policies.
