The Department of Humanities & Social Sciences, in partnership with the Literary Society, conducted the Lexicon League on 8 November 2025. The event was designed to strengthen students’ vocabulary, spelling precision, and overall language competence through a series of engaging word-based challenges. The competition created an energetic and academically stimulating atmosphere, encouraging students to test their linguistic abilities in a fun and competitive format.

Lexicon League consisted of three interactive rounds—Word Wizard, Verbal Volley, and The Grand Lexicon League. Each round assessed participants’ command over vocabulary, pronunciation, articulation, and quick thinking. These rounds were crafted to push students beyond rote learning and build their confidence in real-time language use.

  • A total of 33 participants enthusiastically took part, showcasing their linguistic talent and competitive spirit.
     
  • The event ran smoothly with the help of dedicated volunteers and the student coordinator, who managed timekeeping, scoring, and transitions between rounds.
     
  • A distinguished panel of judges evaluated each participant on accuracy, clarity, articulation, and overall confidence during the verbal tasks.
     
  • The lively environment kept the audience engaged throughout, creating a healthy mix of competition, learning, and enjoyment.
