The Department of Applied Medical Sciences, Quantum University, organized a special guest lecture on women’s health awareness in September, marking the observance of both National Nutrition Month and World PCOS Awareness Month. The session was conducted to shed light on critical health concerns faced by women and to promote holistic well-being through awareness, prevention, and lifestyle management.

The event was graced by the Guest of Honour, Dr. Sangeeta Agarwal, an eminent Gynecologist and Holistic Life Coach with over 37 years of experience in women’s health and wellness.
Highlights of the Lecture
Dr. Agarwal delivered a highly informative session focusing on two pressing health issues among women:

- PCOD (Polycystic Ovarian Disease): She explained its symptoms, causes, and long-term impacts while stressing the importance of early diagnosis, lifestyle modifications, balanced nutrition, and regular physical activity in managing the condition.
- Menopause: She addressed both the physical and emotional challenges associated with menopause and emphasized the significance of awareness, empathy, and support during this natural phase of life.
Interactive Engagement
The audience, primarily girl students from Health Sciences and other departments, was actively engaged in the discussion. Students asked thoughtful questions, shared personal insights, and gained practical knowledge about preventive measures, treatment approaches, and the role of nutrition in women’s health.

Impact of the Session
The lecture was widely appreciated by students and faculty alike. It not only enriched the participants’ academic understanding but also encouraged them to take proactive steps towards personal health, holistic care, and lifestyle management. The session reinforced the message that women’s health requires continuous awareness, proper nutrition, and emotional well-being.
By organizing this lecture, the Department of Applied Medical Sciences once again demonstrated its commitment to holistic education and community health awareness, ensuring that students are empowered with knowledge that extends beyond classrooms into real-life wellness practices.
