The Quantum School of Agricultural Studies, Quantum University, Roorkee, organized a highly insightful guest lecture on August 28, 2025, at Unity Hall on the topic “Career Pathways in Agriculture Education, Extension, and Research Institutions.”
Objective of the Session
The session was designed to provide students with a comprehensive understanding of the diverse career opportunities in agriculture, particularly in areas such as teaching, extension services, and research institutions. It aimed to bridge the gap between academic learning and practical career choices in the agricultural sector.

Keynote by Dr. Pradeep Mishra
The resource person, Dr. Pradeep Mishra, Associate Professor and Head, Department of Agriculture, Dolphin PG Institute of Biomedical & Natural Sciences, Dehradun, delivered the lecture. He emphasized the growing importance of agriculture in India’s national economy and highlighted the wide range of career prospects available for agriculture graduates.
Dr. Mishra explained career options across various domains such as:
- Academic institutions and teaching opportunities
- Agricultural extension systems including Krishi Vigyan Kendras (KVKs)
