GENESIS-QUIC Startup Award Ceremony: Honoring Innovation and Entrepreneurial Excellence

In a powerful celebration of youth-led innovation and visionary entrepreneurship, Quantum University’s Innovation and Incubation Cell (IIC) hosted the GENESIS-QUIC Startup Award Ceremony on May 10, 2025. The event marked a significant milestone in the university’s commitment to nurturing student-led startups, supporting transformative ideas, and encouraging risk-taking and self-employment as a national priority.

Celebrating the Spirit of Startups

The Startup Award Ceremony was not just a recognition event but a celebration of creativity, courage, and changemaking. Select student startup ventures were honored with grants of ₹1 lakh each, offering both financial support and validation to help turn promising ideas into impactful enterprises.

These grants represent the university’s firm belief in fostering a culture of innovation and problem-solving entrepreneurship among the youth.

Chief Guest Address: Visionary Leadership from the Vice Chancellor

The highlight of the event was the presence of the Chief Guest, Prof. (Dr.) Vivek KumarHon’ble Vice Chancellor, Quantum University, whose address deeply inspired the student audience.

Key Insights from the Vice Chancellor’s Speech:

  • He urged students to “build for the future,” emphasizing the importance of aligning innovation with India’s developmental goals.
  • Prof. Kumar underlined how startups can act as catalysts in solving real-world challenges—from climate and agriculture to healthcare and education.
  • He encouraged students to “step beyond conventional career paths” and look at entrepreneurship as a bold, viable alternative that empowers the self and the nation.

His words reinforced the idea that India’s transformation into a global innovation leader depends on its youth taking bold initiatives backed by structured incubation support.

Recognizing the Backbone: IIC Student and Faculty Team

The event also appreciated the relentless efforts of the student and faculty members of the Innovation and Incubation Cell (IIC).

  • Certificates of appreciation were awarded to student members who have contributed actively to E-Cell activities, workshops, and ideation campaigns throughout the academic year.
  • Faculty mentors were acknowledged for their guidance and leadership in driving the university’s startup ecosystem.

Their collective dedication has laid the groundwork for a thriving entrepreneurial environment on campus.

  • Prathama and Team – Beauty Blondoir
    A modern personal care startup focusing on sustainable, handcrafted beauty solutions tailored to individual needs.
  • Somil and Rishav Rawat – Adventure Link
    A unique venture blending tourism and technology to promote eco-adventures and responsible travel in Uttarakhand.
  • Sanat and Team – Campus Seeker
    A student-oriented platform designed to streamline college networking, academic updates, and resource sharing.
  • Satyam Kumar – Curexil Pharmaceutical
    A health-tech initiative working on affordable and effective drug solutions, especially targeting rural medical needs.
  • Anshuman Singh – AI-Powered Sniper Detecting System A breakthrough defense innovation offering AI-based surveillance tools for national security and battlefield safety.

Additionally, IIC’s student volunteers who played a crucial role in facilitating the entrepreneurial ecosystem on campus were acknowledged and awarded certificates of appreciation.

 Looking Forward

The GENESIS-QUIC Startup Award Ceremony is not the end—it’s the beginning of a larger mission. As Quantum University strengthens its focus on incubation, funding, mentorship, and market linkage, future editions of GENESIS will aim to:
