Biochemistry Lab

Biochemistry Lab

The Biochemistry Lab provides students with practical exposure to the chemical principles underlying human physiology and disease processes. Students learn to analyze biological samples such as blood, urine, and serum for various biochemical parameters including glucose, proteins, lipids, and enzymes. The lab emphasizes the development of hands-on skills in qualitative and quantitative analysis, preparation of reagents, and operation of analytical instruments. In addition to core experiments, students are trained in clinical biochemistry techniques used for diagnostic and research applications. This practical training equips students with the ability to perform laboratory investigations, interpret results, and apply biochemical knowledge in healthcare and paramedical fields.

Tools & Equipment Used: Colorimeter, spectrophotometer, centrifuge, pH meter, hot air oven, incubator, water bath, micropipettes, biochemical reagents, and glassware (pipettes, burettes, flasks, test tubes).
