Travel & Tourism Information Lab

Travel & Tourism Information Lab

The Travel & Tourism Information Lab is designed to provide students with practical exposure to travel planning, reservation systems, and tourism management. The lab is equipped with computers, projectors, mock travel desks, maps, brochures, and access to Global Distribution Systems (GDS) like Amadeus, Galileo, or Sabre.
Purpose:
To train students in handling travel and tourism operations, including ticketing, itinerary planning, reservations, and providing tourist information, preparing them for careers in travel agencies, tour operators, and airlines.
Activities / Training Includes:
Booking and reservation procedures for domestic and international travel.
Ticketing for airlines, trains, and other transport modes.
Designing travel itineraries and tour packages.
Use of GDS and other travel software for reservations and documentation.
Handling tourist queries and providing destination information.
Preparing travel-related reports and invoices.
Role-playing and simulation of travel agency operations.
