Environmental Engineering Lab

The Environmental Engineering Lab is designed to analyze water, wastewater, air, and soil quality to ensure a safe and sustainable environment. It is equipped with instruments such as pH meters, spectrophotometers, BOD incubators, COD digesters, and turbidity meters. Students learn methods to test parameters like pH, dissolved oxygen, biochemical oxygen demand (BOD), chemical oxygen demand (COD), hardness, alkalinity, and suspended solids. Experiments include treatment techniques, water purification processes, and analysis of pollutants. The lab also supports studies on noise levels and air quality to assess environmental impact. By combining theory with hands-on practice, the Environmental Lab helps future engineers design effective pollution control measures, plan wastewater treatment, and maintain standards set by environmental regulations for public health and ecological balance.
