Concrete Technology Lab

Concrete Technology Lab

The Concrete Technology Lab is dedicated to studying the properties, mix design, and performance of concrete for construction applications. It is equipped with concrete mixers, slump cones, vibrating tables, and curing tanks for preparing and testing samples. Students learn to design concrete mixes, determine workability, and assess strength through compressive and flexural tests. Experiments include slump tests, compaction factor tests, and cube or cylinder strength tests after specified curing periods. The lab also enables the study of additives, admixtures, and different aggregate combinations to improve durability and performance. By correlating theoretical principles with practical experimentation, the Concrete Lab helps future engineers develop safe, economical, and sustainable construction materials, ensuring quality control in structural projects and real-world civil engineering practices.
