Entomology Lab

Entomology Lab

The Entomology Lab has the capacity and expertise to identify all types of insect and other arthropod pests using morphological identification. It is equipped with insect incubation chambers and several high-powered microscopes. The lab maintains a reference collection of identified insect samples and has been actively involved in the identification, rapid response, and sustained management of significant pests such as the Fall Armyworm, False Codling Moth, Desert Locust, Papaya Mealybug, and several fruit fly species that adversely affect agriculture in the country and region.
