Quantum University Students Explore Emerging Trends in Quantum Computing

03 September 2026

The Department of Computer Science and Engineering at Quantum University organized an insightful session on “Emerging Trends in Quantum Computing” for students of B.Tech 1st and 2nd Year. The session aimed to introduce students to the rapidly evolving field of quantum technology and help them understand its growing relevance in the future of computing.

The session was delivered by Dr. Surender, Assistant Professor, who provided students with valuable insights into the fundamental concepts, technological developments, and emerging applications of quantum computing.

During the session, students were introduced to key concepts including quantum mechanics, qubits, superposition, and quantum entanglement. Dr. Surender also explained the fundamental differences between classical and quantum computing, helping students understand how quantum systems can offer new approaches to solving complex computational problems.

The session further highlighted the real-world applications of quantum technology and its potential impact across various sectors. Students also gained an understanding of the future scope of quantum computing and the emerging career and learning opportunities in this rapidly developing domain.

A total of 155 students actively participated in the session, demonstrating strong interest and enthusiasm towards exploring advanced computing technologies. The interactive learning experience encouraged students to expand their knowledge beyond conventional computing and develop an interest in emerging areas of technology.

The event served as a valuable platform for students to gain exposure to one of the most promising technological frontiers and encouraged them to explore new possibilities in computing, innovation, research, and technology.
