A contingent of student founders from Quantum University, Roorkee, visited Sunfox Technologies, Dehradun, on September 18, 2026, for an immersive entrepreneurial interaction with Mr. Rajat Jain, Founder of Sunfox Technologies. The visit was facilitated by the Genesis – Quantum University Innovation Council as part of its efforts to provide student entrepreneurs with exposure to the real-world startup ecosystem.

The interaction evolved into a two-hour-long conversation on the realities of building a startup. Mr. Rajat Jain shared experiences from his entrepreneurial journey, including his transition from being a university student to building Sunfox Technologies and taking the company to Shark Tank India. The discussion focused not only on achievements but also on the challenges, uncertainty, experimentation and persistence involved in entrepreneurship.

The student founders gained valuable insights into the importance of personal development, long-term thinking and continuous learning. Key learnings from the interaction included understanding that entrepreneurship involves embracing uncertainty, learning from failures, remaining persistent and continuously improving ideas through execution. The Build → Learn → Improve → Repeat approach was highlighted as an important part of the entrepreneurial journey.

The visit also gave students an opportunity to understand entrepreneurship beyond classrooms and incubation centres by interacting directly with an entrepreneur who had himself started his journey from a university environment. Such exposure enabled the participating founders to gain practical perspective on building companies, navigating challenges and developing a long-term entrepreneurial mindset.

The Genesis Incubator at Quantum University continues to focus on nurturing student entrepreneurs by connecting them with entrepreneurs, companies, customers, investors and the wider startup ecosystem. The visit to Sunfox Technologies served as an enriching learning experience for the student founders and reinforced the importance of practical exposure, mentorship and continuous learning in the entrepreneurial journey.
