"Empowering Uttarakhand Youth with Industry-Ready Financial Skills"

Roorkee, September 6, 2025 – Quantum University, Roorkee, has taken a landmark step in preparing Uttarakhand’s youth for the Banking, Financial Services, and Insurance (BFSI) sector. Under the prestigious Project GAURAV (Generating Awareness, Understanding, Resources, and Value in BFSI), the University, in collaboration with the National Stock Exchange (NSE), National Institute of Securities Markets (NISM), and the Government of Uttarakhand, successfully organized two milestone training programs that set a benchmark in financial skilling and employability.

Phase I – 4-Day BFSI Skilling Workshop

The initiative commenced with a 4-day workshop on “Skilling the Youth of Uttarakhand in the BFSI Sector”.

• Participation: 140+ B.Com and MBA first-year students
• Coordinators: Dr. Varsha Gupta, Dr. Mousmi Goel, Ms. Rupali Khurana, and Dr. Ram Parvesh
• Expert Trainers: Mr. Abhishek Singh (Corporate Trainer) and Dr. Ankur Bhatnagar (Founder, Mind Club Foundation; SEBI & NSE empanelled Securities Market Expert)

The workshop provided conceptual and practical exposure on a wide range of topics, including:

• Financial Markets & Banking Operations
• Insurance Frameworks & Risk Management
• Investment Analysis & Equity Valuation
• Fintech Innovations & Digital Finance
• Fraud Prevention & Global Case Studies

The program concluded with an NISM Online Assessment, and all successful participants were awarded digital certificates, qualifying them for advanced Level-2 training.

Phase II – 5-Day NISM V-A Certification Program

Building on the momentum of the first phase, Quantum University organized the NISM V-A Certification Program from September 2–6, 2025, representing Level 2 training under Project GAURAV.

• Participation: 70 selected students (B.Com & BBA programs)
• Focus Area: Mutual Fund Distribution Excellence

Training Modules Covered:

• SEBI Compliance & AMFI Code of Conduct
• NAV Calculation Principles & Taxation Frameworks
• KYC Compliance & Investor Services
• Systematic Transactions: SIP, STP & SWP
• Strategic Exam Preparation, Mock Tests & Time Management

The intensive sessions were delivered by Dr. Ankur Bhatnagar and Mr. Abhishek Singh, whose combined expertise provided students with world-class, industry-aligned training.

Hon’ble Vice Chancellor, Prof. (Dr.) Vivek Kumar, applauded the Department’s efforts, stating:
