Quantum University, Roorkee, signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with NIIT Foundation (NF) to establish a structured institutional collaboration focused on student training in Cyber Security, Artificial Intelligence, and Employability Skill Development. The collaboration aims to provide students with industry-aligned learning opportunities through a combination of LMS-based learning, instructor-led training, self-paced modules, and physical awareness and orientation sessions, as applicable.

Under the partnership, students will be introduced to relevant training programmes through awareness and orientation sessions before being screened, enrolled, and allocated to appropriate batches. The initiative is designed to strengthen students' technical competencies, cybersecurity awareness, understanding of Artificial Intelligence, and employability skills. Training progress and attendance will be monitored through prescribed mechanisms, while students completing the required assessments will be eligible for e-certification by NIIT Foundation.

The collaboration includes training programmes such as Cyber Awareness AI Prime, Cyber Smart AI Prime, and Cyber & AI Workforce, covering areas ranging from cybersecurity awareness and data protection to network fundamentals, cryptography, threat analysis, digital forensics, and key AI concepts. The programmes will be delivered through self-learning and instructor-led modes, with course durations ranging from 8 to 140 hours depending on the programme and target audience.

The MoU also provides scope for industry interactions, awareness programmes, workshops, competitions, and facilitation of placement opportunities for eligible students, subject to applicable approvals and availability. Quantum University will support student mobilization, awareness, enrollment, infrastructure, attendance, assessment coordination, and completion of training, while NIIT Foundation will provide course content, LMS access, training, assessments, certification, and relevant placement opportunities.

The collaboration reflects Quantum University's continued commitment to industry-oriented education, experiential learning, and career readiness. By providing structured exposure to Cyber Security, AI, and employability skills, the partnership is expected to help students strengthen their technical capabilities, professional confidence, and preparedness for the evolving demands of the technology-driven workplace.
