Quantum University Organizes Workshop on Embedded Systems Design Using ARM Cortex-M Microcontrollers

12 September 2026

Quantum University organized a Workshop on Embedded Systems Design using ARM Cortex-M Microcontrollers, providing students from Electronics and Communication Engineering (ECE), Electrical Engineering (EE), and Computer Science and Engineering (CSE) with practical exposure to embedded-system concepts and microcontroller-based applications.

The workshop covered key areas including ARM Cortex-M architecture, microcontroller programming, GPIO, timers, interrupts, ADC, PWM, sensor and actuator interfacing, and communication protocols such as UART, SPI, and I²C. The sessions enabled students to explore the functioning and application of modern embedded-system technologies through practical learning.

Through hands-on activities, students were encouraged to apply engineering concepts, develop and test microcontroller-based solutions, and troubleshoot practical problems. The workshop strengthened competencies related to engineering knowledge, problem analysis, investigation, modern tool usage, and design and development of solutions.

The activity also promoted individual and team work and encouraged students to adopt a continuous learning approach. The practical orientation provided students with an opportunity to connect theoretical concepts with real-world applications and develop greater confidence in working with embedded-system tools and technologies.

The workshop supported the development of skills relevant to embedded systems, IoT, automation, and industry-oriented projects. By combining technical concepts with practical implementation and problem-solving, the initiative contributed to Quantum University's emphasis on experiential learning and the development of future-ready engineering skills.
