The Department of Mechanical Engineering, Quantum University, organized an informative session on “Ergonomic Design in Mechanical Engineering” to create awareness among students about the importance of ergonomics in engineering design and workplace safety.

The session focused on the application of ergonomic principles to machines, tools, workstations, and industrial environments with the aim of improving human comfort, safety, efficiency, and productivity. Students were introduced to the importance of considering human factors while developing mechanical systems and designing industrial workplaces.

The expert discussion covered key areas including human-machine interaction, posture, workplace layout, manual handling, anthropometric considerations, fatigue reduction, and prevention of work-related injuries.
