Quantum University organized an engaging session on “Building Confidence Through Effective Communication”, focusing on the importance of confidence and communication skills in academic and professional life. The session aimed to help students understand how effective communication can influence the way individual’s express ideas, interact with others, and respond to different situations.
The session was led by Mr. Anand Stephen, who discussed essential elements of effective communication, including clarity of thought, choice of words, active listening, body language, tone of voice, eye contact, and appropriate interpersonal behaviour. Students were encouraged to understand that effective communication is not limited to fluent speaking but also involves listening carefully, understanding the audience, and conveying thoughts appropriately.
The session also highlighted common barriers to effective communication, including hesitation, lack of confidence, fear of making mistakes, poor listening, inappropriate body language, and difficulty organizing thoughts. Practical guidance was shared to help students recognize and overcome these challenges.
Students were encouraged to actively participate and practice communication skills in real-life situations. The interactive nature of the session helped participants understand that confidence and communication abilities can be developed progressively through consistent practice and active engagement.
The programme provided a valuable learning opportunity for students to strengthen their communication and interpersonal skills, reinforcing Quantum University's focus on holistic student development, professional preparedness, and confidence-building.
