The Central Library, Quantum University, in collaboration with Elsevier, organized an exclusive ScienceDirect Training & Awareness Session for faculty members, research scholars, and students at Shyam Ji Auditorium. The session was conducted around the theme “Empowering Researchers: Smarter Discovery, Better Publishing, Greater Impact” and aimed to enhance participants’ research capabilities and effective utilization of scholarly resources.

The session was led by Dr. Nitin Ghoshal, PhD, Customer Success Manager – South Asia, Elsevier, who provided guidance on using ScienceDirect and other scholarly resources for academic and research work. Participants were introduced to research discovery and access, effective literature searching, research updates, and the utilization of e-books and scholarly resources available through the university.

A significant component of the session focused on scholarly publishing and research visibility, helping participants understand the importance of effectively communicating and increasing the reach of their research work. The session also addressed research integrity, ethics, and responsible use of Artificial Intelligence in research, highlighting the importance of responsible academic practices.

The interactive session included a quiz and discussion, giving participants an opportunity to engage with the content and seek clarification on effective research practices. Practical tips were also shared to help faculty members, research scholars, and students make better use of ScienceDirect for literature discovery and academic research.

The session served as a valuable academic initiative aimed at strengthening the research ecosystem at Quantum University. By facilitating direct exposure to scholarly resources and research practices through collaboration with Elsevier, the university continues to support research development, responsible scholarship, and greater research impact among its academic community.
