The Department of Law, Quantum University, organized an Orientation Programme at Harmony Hall to familiarize students with the academic environment, departmental practices, student support systems, co-curricular opportunities, and expectations associated with legal education.
The programme provided students with an overview of important academic and institutional aspects, including general rules, discipline, punctuality, professional conduct, classroom etiquette, attendance, assessment and evaluation procedures. Students were encouraged to maintain consistency in their academic performance and develop responsible and professional habits from the beginning of their university journey.
Students were also introduced to the Mentor–Mentee System and Internal Complaint Committee, helping them understand the institutional mechanisms available for academic guidance, support, and addressing genuine concerns. The orientation emphasized the importance of active and responsible participation in the academic environment.
A key focus of the programme was the introduction to departmental societies and activities, including the Legal Aid Society, Debating Society, and Moot Court Society. Students were encouraged to participate in these platforms to develop practical legal skills, research abilities, advocacy techniques, public speaking, communication, teamwork, leadership, and social responsibility.
The Orientation Programme concluded with students gaining greater clarity about their academic responsibilities, professional expectations, support mechanisms, and opportunities for holistic development. The interaction between faculty members, student coordinators, and students helped create a positive and welcoming environment, laying a strong foundation for their academic and professional journey in legal education.
