The Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering, Quantum University, Roorkee, organized an “IoT Startup Pitch” to provide students with a platform to present innovative IoT-based startup ideas and explore how emerging technology can be applied to address real-world challenges.
During the event, students identified specific problems and presented proposed IoT-based solutions, explaining the concept, working approach, potential applications, and value of their ideas. The activity encouraged participants to look beyond technical implementation and consider the practical and market-oriented potential of their proposed solutions.
The event provided students with valuable exposure to the process of transforming technical concepts into potential products and startup opportunities. Through their presentations, participants explored how technology-driven solutions can be developed with a focus on real-world applicability and potential value creation.
The pitching activity also helped students strengthen important skills including problem identification, solution development, innovation, entrepreneurship, and technical presentation. Students had an opportunity to receive feedback on their ideas and gain a better understanding of the factors involved in developing viable technology-based solutions.
The successful organization of the IoT Startup Pitch reflected Quantum University's emphasis on experiential learning, innovation, and entrepreneurship. The event encouraged students to think creatively, identify meaningful problems, and explore how IoT technologies can be transformed into practical solutions and future entrepreneurial opportunities.
