Quantum University Roorkee organized an industrial visit for MBA First Year students to Dehra Dun Dugdh Utpadak Sahakari Sangh Ltd., located at Raipur Road, Dehradun. The visit was conducted by the Department of Business Administration with the objective of providing students practical exposure to dairy production processes, cooperative management systems, quality control mechanisms, supply chain operations, and marketing practices followed in the dairy industry.

The organization, widely recognized for manufacturing and distributing Aanchal Brand dairy products including milk, ghee, butter, paneer, and cheddar cheese, offered students an opportunity to understand real industrial practices and bridge the gap between theoretical learning and practical implementation.

During the industrial tour, students observed various stages of dairy processing including milk reception, filtration, pasteurization, homogenization, packaging, cold storage, and dispatch operations. The technical team explained quality assurance procedures, hygiene standards, automated machinery usage, and temperature-controlled preservation systems used in dairy manufacturing. Students also visited different production units where they closely observed the manufacturing processes of butter, paneer, ghee, and cheddar cheese.

The visit further provided students with valuable insights into packaging systems, branding strategies, inventory management, transportation networks, and supply chain coordination involved in delivering dairy products to consumers. Interactive sessions with company professionals enabled students to understand cooperative management functioning, rural dairy procurement systems, and the role of technology in improving operational efficiency and product quality in the dairy sector.

The industrial visit proved to be highly informative and enriching for MBA students as it enhanced their understanding of operations management, marketing, logistics, and industrial practices through experiential learning.
