Quantum University Organizes IGNITE 2026 Technical Fest, Project Exhibition and SIH Internal Round-2 Selection

The Department of Computer Science & Engineering and Computer Applications, Quantum University, Roorkee, organized IGNITE Technical Fest, Project Exhibition, and the Internal Round-2 Selection of the Smart India Hackathon (SIH). The event brought together students from B.Tech, BCA, and MCA programmes to showcase their technical skills and celebrate innovation, creativity, and technological excellence.

A major component of IGNITE 2026 was the Project Exhibition, where students presented innovative projects and technology-based solutions before faculty members and invited guests. The exhibition provided participants with an opportunity to demonstrate their technical knowledge, creativity, problem-solving abilities, and practical implementation skills.

The event also featured the Internal Round-2 Selection of the Smart India Hackathon (SIH), where shortlisted student teams presented their solutions to identified problem statements. The evaluation considered parameters including innovation, technical implementation, problem-solving approach, feasibility, scalability, and presentation, encouraging students to collaboratively develop technology-driven solutions to real-world challenges.

The technical expo was visited by Dr. Durgesh Pant, Chief Guest, who interacted with students and explored the projects showcased during the event. His presence added to the learning and interaction opportunities for participating students.

The event witnessed enthusiastic participation from approximately 300 students and successfully promoted innovation, technical excellence, entrepreneurship, teamwork, and experiential learning. IGNITE 2026 provided students with a valuable platform to transform ideas into practical solutions and strengthen their skills through project-based learning and hackathon participation.
