Quantum University Organizes Guest Lecture on Inter-Professional Relationships in Medical Care

The Department of Allied and Healthcare Sciences, Quantum School of Health Sciences, Quantum University, Roorkee, organized a guest lecture on “Symphony of Care: Mastering Inter-Professional Relationship in Medical Care” on 20 August 2026 at F-Block, Harmony Hall. The session was designed to help students understand the importance of inter-professional collaboration and coordinated healthcare practice.

The lecture focused on the role of effective communication, teamwork, mutual respect, role clarity, and shared decision-making among healthcare professionals in ensuring comprehensive and patient-centred care. The session highlighted how physiotherapists and other healthcare professionals work together with physicians, nurses, radiologists, occupational therapists, psychologists, and other specialists to deliver effective patient care.

The session was delivered by Dr. Mohit Gusain (PT), who shared valuable insights from his clinical and professional experience. He discussed the importance of professional communication, interdisciplinary coordination, and maintaining constructive relationships within multidisciplinary healthcare teams. The session was attended by students from BPT, BMRIT, and Biotechnology, creating an interdisciplinary learning environment.

An interactive Question and Answer session followed the lecture, allowing students to seek clarification and discuss relevant professional and clinical aspects with the guest speaker. The interaction further enhanced the practical learning experience and encouraged students to appreciate the responsibilities and contributions of different healthcare disciplines.

The guest lecture proved to be an informative and academically enriching initiative, strengthening students’ understanding of collaborative healthcare practice. The session reinforced the message that effective patient care depends not only on individual expertise but also on communication, coordination, teamwork, and professional relationships among healthcare professionals.
