The Department of Commerce & Finance, Quantum University, organized an expert session titled “Artificial Intelligence for Academic Excellence: Tools Every Student Should Know” for B.Com students. The session was conducted by Dr. Pallavi Bhardwaj, Assistant Professor, Department of Commerce and Finance, with the objective of familiarizing students with the responsible and ethical use of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in academic and professional preparation.

The session introduced students to various legitimate AI tools that can support learning, research, content organization, presentations, and academic productivity. Particular emphasis was placed on the use of AI for preparing internship reports, project reports, assignments, presentations, and other curriculum-based deliverables, helping students understand how technology can complement their academic work.

A practical component of the session focused on the different stages of report preparation. Students explored how AI can assist with brainstorming, developing outlines, framing objectives, designing questionnaires, improving language, organizing information, and interpreting data. They were also introduced to effective prompt writing and learned the importance of providing appropriate context, instructions, role, desired output, and constraints to obtain more relevant results.

The session strongly emphasized academic integrity and responsible AI use. Students were encouraged to verify AI-generated information, maintain originality, avoid direct copying, and incorporate their own experiences, analysis, and critical thinking into academic work. The discussion highlighted that AI should be used as a supportive tool while preserving the student's intellectual contribution and responsibility.
