Quantum University Organizes Bridge Course Hackathon for First-Year CSE and CA Students

07 August 2026

The Codex Club, Quantum University, Roorkee, organized The Bridge Course – Hackathon on 7 August 2026 for first-year students of Computer Science and Engineering (CSE) and Computer Applications (CA). The event was designed to provide students with practical exposure to Python and HTML through a hands-on hackathon and quiz-based learning experience.

The event witnessed enthusiastic participation from 251 students, including 179 offline and 72 online participants. The programme was conducted at the Computer Labs and Unity Hall, providing students with an engaging environment to learn, experiment, and apply their technical knowledge.

The hackathon encouraged participants to put their basic programming and web development concepts into practice by developing innovative solutions and presenting their ideas. Students actively participated in coding, problem-solving, project development, quizzes, and presentations, gaining practical experience beyond the classroom.

Through the hands-on format, students had the opportunity to strengthen their understanding of Python and HTML while developing their logical thinking, creativity, and problem-solving abilities. The quiz-based activities further added an interactive element to the learning experience and encouraged students to test their conceptual understanding.

The Bridge Course – Hackathon reflects Quantum University's emphasis on experiential and skill-based learning, particularly for students at the beginning of their academic journey. By providing first-year students with opportunities to work on practical challenges, such initiatives help build a strong foundation in programming, encourage innovation, and prepare students for more advanced technical projects and hackathons in the future.

The event successfully brought together learning, coding, creativity, and collaboration, giving students a valuable platform to explore their potential in the field of technology.
