The Department of Commerce and Finance, Quantum University, organised an Investor Awareness Programme for B.Com students on October 10, 2026, at Harmony Hall, F-Block, in collaboration with MindClub Foundation and the National Stock Exchange (NSE). The programme aimed to strengthen students’ financial literacy, promote responsible investment practices and create awareness about financial and cyber frauds.

The formal session commenced with the felicitation of Dr. Ankur Bhatnagar, Founder of MindClub Foundation and Securities Market Trainer empanelled by SEBI, NSE, NISM, BSE and ICAI.

An engaging financial literacy quiz marked the beginning of the programme, encouraging students to participate actively and test their understanding of financial concepts. This was followed by an informative and interactive session conducted by Dr. Ankur Bhatnagar, covering financial literacy, savings, investment avenues, financial markets, responsible investing, risk and return, financial planning and investor protection. Students were encouraged to evaluate investment opportunities carefully and understand the factors that influence informed financial decisions.

A significant part of the session focused on financial and cyber-fraud awareness. Students were sensitised to common financial risks and the importance of adopting safe and responsible practices while using financial services. Through discussions and practical insights, they gained a better understanding of investment products, financial markets, risk-return considerations and the importance of financial planning. The interaction also helped connect academic concepts with practical situations in the financial environment.

Another noteworthy moment was the presentation of a token of appreciation by Dr. Ankur Bhatnagar to Prof. (Dr.) Manish Srivastava and Quantum University, acknowledging the university’s continued support and its collaboration with MindClub Foundation in promoting financial awareness and education among students.

The Investor Awareness Programme served as a meaningful experiential learning initiative, equipping B.Com students with relevant knowledge to make informed financial decisions. The initiative reinforced Quantum University’s commitment to connecting academic learning with practical financial knowledge, industry interaction and the development of financially aware and responsible young citizens.
