Quantum University celebrated World Earth Day 2026 with a series of impactful environmental initiatives aimed at promoting sustainability, ecological awareness, and community engagement. The event was organized under the banner of Pahal – Ek Nanha Kadam, reflecting the university’s commitment to building a greener and more environmentally conscious future.
The programme commenced with an inspiring address by Prof. Mahua Mukherjee from Indian Institute of Technology Roorkee, who emphasized the urgent need for climate action, environmental responsibility, and collective efforts toward sustainable development. Her insightful session encouraged students and participants to adopt environmentally responsible practices in their daily lives.
As part of the celebration, a large-scale plantation drive was conducted across the university campus, during which 101 trees were planted in the presence of university leadership, faculty members, staff, and students. The initiative symbolized the institution’s dedication to environmental conservation and sustainable growth.
Extending the impact beyond the campus, volunteers visited Alawalpur village to organize an environmental awareness rally. Through community interaction and outreach activities, the volunteers engaged local residents in meaningful discussions on environmental conservation, sustainable living, and the importance of preserving natural resources for future generations.
The event concluded with an interactive session for village students, motivating them to become responsible custodians of the environment and encouraging them to actively contribute toward protecting and nurturing nature.
Through such initiatives, Quantum University continues to promote environmental consciousness and inspire collective action toward creating a cleaner, greener, and more sustainable tomorrow.
