Quantum University, Roorkee, successfully conducted Tech Thrive (Smart India Hackathon 2026 – Round 1) on 7 and 8 September 2026 under the aegis of the Departments of Computer Science & Engineering and Computer Applications. The event witnessed enthusiastic participation from 500+ students across 80+ teams, who developed and presented technology-driven solutions to real-world problem statements as part of the SIH 2026 qualification process.

The event focused on fostering innovation, problem-solving, teamwork, technical thinking, and effective solution presentation. Participating teams worked on their respective problem statements and presented their ideas before an evaluation panel, demonstrating their ability to identify challenges and develop innovative technology-based approaches.

The teams also received valuable feedback during the evaluation process, enabling them to identify areas for improvement and further strengthen their proposed solutions. The presentations provided students with an opportunity to apply their technical knowledge in a collaborative and problem-oriented environment.

The event was efficiently managed with CodeX, with event coordination led by Parul Tyagi, ensuring smooth execution and coordination throughout the two-day round. The evaluation and judging were conducted by Mr. Mayank Chauhan and Mr. Vineet Salry, whose assessment and feedback contributed to identifying promising ideas and teams for the next stage.
