Quantum University organized a two-day programme on the occasion of World Physiotherapy Day 2026 with the objective of promoting awareness about physiotherapy, encouraging healthy lifestyle practices, and enhancing the academic and practical skills of students. The programme brought together a range of academic, creative, and practical activities for BPT students.

The first day featured a webinar titled “Sit Less, Move More” at the Mini Auditorium. Dr. Hafiz Wani, Sports Physiotherapist, Thambay University, Ajman, UAE, was invited as the guest lecturer. The session focused on reducing sedentary behaviour, maintaining physical activity, and developing healthy movement habits. BPT students from the first, second, and third years participated and gained valuable insights into the importance of an active lifestyle.

Following the webinar, a Poster Competition was organized near Shyam Ji Auditorium for BPT first-year students. The competition provided students with an opportunity to demonstrate their creativity, subject knowledge, and understanding of physiotherapy-related themes. The activity also encouraged students to communicate health and physiotherapy concepts through visual expression.

On the second day, a Physiotherapy Health Screening Camp was conducted at the Physiotherapy Lab (D003). BPT first-, second-, and third-year students participated in the camp and gained practical exposure to basic physiotherapy screening procedures, assessment techniques, and health awareness activities. The camp helped students connect their academic learning with practical healthcare applications.

The two-day programme successfully combined awareness, academic learning, creativity, and practical exposure, reinforcing the importance of movement and healthy living while strengthening students’ understanding of physiotherapy practice. The programme concluded with appreciation of the participants and encouragement towards maintaining active and healthy lifestyles.
