Quantum University, Roorkee celebrated Hindi Diwas through Anurag’26, a vibrant programme jointly organized by the Department of Media Studies and the Department of Humanities & Social Science. The event provided students with a platform to celebrate Hindi language, literature, culture, and creative expression.

The programme was graced by Prof. Dinesh Chandra Shastri, Head, Veda Department, Gurukul Kangri (Deemed to be University), Haridwar, and Former Vice-Chancellor, Uttarakhand Sanskrit University, Haridwar, as the Chief Guest. His presence added academic and cultural significance to the celebration and encouraged students to appreciate the importance of Hindi and its rich literary and cultural heritage.

The event featured seven competitions—Folk Dance, Folk Song, Poster Making, Reel Making, Speech, Short Story Reading, and Creative Essay Writing. These activities created opportunities for students to express themselves through both traditional cultural formats and contemporary media platforms.

The programme also encouraged the development of creativity, communication skills, confidence, teamwork, and digital content creation abilities. By bringing together folk traditions and modern forms of expression such as reels and visual content, Anurag’26 created an engaging environment for students to explore different dimensions of the Hindi language.

The Hindi Diwas celebration successfully reinforced the significance of Hindi in academic, cultural, and professional contexts while encouraging students to develop a greater appreciation and meaningful use of the language. The event reflected Quantum University’s commitment to promoting cultural awareness, creative expression, and holistic student development.
