Quantum University Celebrates Engineer’s Day as Part of IGNITE 2026

Quantum University celebrated Engineer’s Day as part of IGNITE 2026, bringing together distinguished representatives from academia, government, and industry to highlight the contribution of engineers to technological advancement, innovation, and nation building.

The celebration was graced by Dr. Durgesh Pant, Director General, UCOST; Dr. Vivek Kumar, Professor and Dean, SRIC, IIT Roorkee; Dr. Prakhar Goyal, Director, SSG Agrim Project LLP; and Mr. Abhishek Gupta, Founder & CEO, Abliq Technologies. The distinguished guests shared valuable insights on engineering, emerging technologies, innovation, entrepreneurship, and the importance of developing practical and industry-relevant skills.

The event encouraged students to understand the evolving role of engineers in addressing contemporary challenges and contributing to technological and societal progress. The interactions provided students with perspectives from different sectors and highlighted the importance of combining technical knowledge with practical skills, innovation, and an entrepreneurial mindset.

The Engineer’s Day celebration formed part of the broader IGNITE 2026 activities, which also included a Project Exhibition and SIH Internal Round-2 Selection. Together, these activities provided students with opportunities to showcase their ideas, participate in innovation challenges, and engage with experts from academia, government, and industry.

The celebration reinforced the importance of engineering in shaping the future and provided students with an inspiring platform to learn, innovate, compete, and connect. Through IGNITE 2026, Quantum University continues to encourage experiential learning and the development of practical, industry-relevant capabilities among aspiring engineers.
