Quantum University, Roorkee, hosted the NCC Inaugural Ceremony on 25 November at the Shyam Ji Auditorium. The event marked an important milestone for the university as it formally became the 45th institution in Uttarakhand to receive an NCC unit. The new NCC wing is affiliated with the 84 UK Battalion, NCC Roorkee, Uttarakhand, strengthening the university’s commitment to discipline, leadership and national service.

Program Proceedings

The ceremony began with the welcoming of dignitaries and officials from the 84 UK Battalion. This was followed by the lighting of the ceremonial lamp, signifying the official commencement of NCC activities on campus and reaffirming the university’s focus on holistic student development.

Prof. (Dr.) Vivek Kumar delivered the welcome address, extending warm greetings to the NCC officials. He highlighted the importance of establishing an NCC unit at Quantum University and spoke about the role NCC plays in shaping disciplined, confident and socially responsible young citizens.

Lt. Colonel Aman Singh, Commanding Officer of the 84 UK Battalion, shared an insightful overview of NCC’s vision and objectives. Subedar Amar Singh Rawat then addressed the gathering, explaining the functional structure and expectations for the newly inducted cadets.
