National Pharmacy Week 2025 Celebrated at Quantum School of Health Sciences

The Department of Pharmacy at the Quantum School of Health Sciences celebrated the 64th National Pharmacy Week from 16 to 22 November 2025 with great enthusiasm. This year’s theme, Pharmacists as Advocates of Vaccination, guided a week of awareness activities, competitions and community engagement.

Throughout the week, the department organized a range of academic and creative events including essay writing, poster making, quiz competitions and model presentations. Students participated actively, displaying both their knowledge and creativity while engaging with the theme of vaccination and public health.

As part of the outreach efforts, a rally was conducted at Dada village to raise awareness about the importance of vaccination. Students interacted with villagers and highlighted how vaccines protect not only individuals but the wider community as well. The rally also emphasized the growing role of pharmacists in promoting vaccination and supporting public health initiatives.

The event featured distinguished guests who shared their insights with the students.
The Chief Guest, Mr. M. L. Joshi, Registrar (Retd.), Uttarakhand Pharmacy Council, delivered an inspiring address on the responsibilities of pharmacists as health guardians who ensure the safe and effective use of medicines.

Hon’ble Vice-Chancellor Professor Vivek Kumar encouraged students by reminding them that pharmacy is not just a profession but a responsibility toward society. He urged them to stay committed to public health service and community welfare.

Professor Dr. Santosh Kumar Verma, Principal of the Department of Pharmacy, appreciated the hard work of the students and faculty. He noted that events like National Pharmacy Week help students build professional competence while also instilling a sense of social responsibility.
