Roorkee, November 15: Quantum University held its Fifth Convocation on Saturday, celebrating the academic accomplishments of its graduating students. The Governor of Uttarakhand and Visitor to the University, Lt. Gen. (Retd.) Gurmit Singh, PVSM, UYSM, AVSM, VSM, presided over the ceremony and awarded degrees and medals to the graduating class.

The ceremony welcomed Special Guest Dr. Ajit Kumar Karnataka, former vice-chancellor of MPUAT, Udaipur, and former president of the Indian Agricultural Universities Association.
The event opened with a tribute to the martyrs of Uttarakhand, followed by the academic procession, the National Anthem, Saraswati Vandana, and the University Kulgeet. Vice-Chancellor Dr. Vivek Kumar presented the Annual Report, highlighting the university’s progress in academics, research, and institutional development.

The degrees were awarded across undergraduate, postgraduate, diploma, advanced diploma, and doctoral programs. Of these, some students received their degrees in person. Some scholars were awarded Ph.D. degrees in Management, Computer Science and Engineering, Electronics and Communication, and Applied Medical Sciences. The distribution of degrees reflected the university’s focus on strong academic standards, research growth, and holistic student development.
One of the key moments of the ceremony was the presentation of the President’s Medal to Ms. Sakshi Raj, B.Sc. (Hons.) Agriculture, for her outstanding performance in academics, sports, cultural activities, research, and community service. Her parents were also honoured on stage, earning warm appreciation from the audience.

Public representatives, including Bhagwanpur MLA Mrs. Mamta Rakesh and Roorkee MLA Mr. Pradeep Batra, conveyed their congratulations. The university’s leadership was present in full strength, including Founder President Shri Shyam Sundar Goyal, Hon’ble President Shri Ajay Goyal, and Members of the Board of Governors Shri Praveen Garg, Shri Anil Goyal, and Shri Naresh Garg. Other dignitaries included Major General Sanjay Sharma, Shri Balbir, Shri K.K. Agarwal, Members of the Board of Management, Shri Shobhit Goyal,Shri Shanky Garg, QSB Director Prof. (Dr.) Manish Srivastava, QST Director, Dr. Brijmohan Singh, Registrar Dr. Amit Dixit, Dean of Academics Dr. Satendra Kumar, and Dr. Santosh Kumar Verma, Principal of the School of Health Sciences.
Gold, silver, and bronze medals were awarded to toppers from various programs in recognition of their academic merit. Student cultural performances added energy to the event and showcased the creative talent on campus.

The convocation brought together academicians, industry leaders, school principals, media representatives, and officials from the police and civil administration, highlighting the university's strong community ties.
The ceremony concluded with the distribution of degrees, transcripts, and certificates, marking the beginning of new academic and professional journeys for the graduates. The event closed on a proud and memorable note for the students, their families, and the Quantum University community.
