The conclave was designed as a comprehensive learning platform to help students develop a deeper and more practical understanding of the Union Budget 2026 and its wide-ranging implications for the economy, industry, and academia.
The primary objective of Budget Conclave ’26 was to move beyond textbook-based learning and enable students to critically analyze fiscal policies, taxation reforms, and sectoral priorities announced in the Union Budget. The event aimed to foster analytical thinking, policy awareness, teamwork, and experiential learning while aligning academic knowledge with real-world economic decision-making.

Phase I: Preliminary Round of Student Presentations (09 February 2026)
The conclave was conducted in two structured phases. The first phase, held on 09 February 2026, focused on the preliminary evaluation of student presentations. Students participated in teams consisting of a minimum of two and a maximum of three members. A total of 13 teams from various departments actively took part in this phase.
Each team was allotted 7 to 8 minutes to present their analysis of the Union Budget 2026. The presentations covered key budget highlights, sector-wise allocations, taxation reforms, and the broader economic implications of government policies. Students demonstrated strong preparation, teamwork, and analytical depth while presenting complex fiscal concepts in a clear and structured manner.
The presentations were evaluated by an internal judging panel comprising Dr. Sana Zaidi, Dr. Ritu Bharti, and Dr. Vinay Pal. The evaluation criteria included relevance of content, depth of analysis, clarity of presentation, teamwork, and effective time management. After a rigorous assessment process, the top four teams were shortlisted to advance to the final round of the conclave.

The shortlisted teams presented their refined and in-depth analyses before an expert panel. The final presentations reflected strong conceptual clarity, sectoral understanding, and the ability to link budgetary provisions with contemporary economic challenges. Students showcased confidence, critical thinking, and the practical application of economic theories to real-world fiscal issues.
