Quantum University, Roorkee, welcomed distinguished Bollywood actor Mr. Sudesh Berry to Abhivyakti 2026, the university’s cultural festival celebrating creativity, artistic expression and India’s rich cultural heritage. His presence added prominence to the celebration, which brought together cultural performances and creative expressions reflecting India’s intellectual and artistic traditions.

A major highlight of the event was “Anveshak, ” a Hindi theatrical production presented by Quantum University, celebrating the life and scientific contributions of legendary Indian mathematician and astronomer Aryabhata. The performance combined powerful storytelling, expressive acting and engaging stagecraft to bring Aryabhata’s legacy to life, offering the audience a creative perspective on India’s remarkable achievements in mathematics and astronomy.

Through Anveshak, Quantum University highlighted the importance of integrating Indian Knowledge Systems (IKS) into contemporary education through theatre and experiential learning. The production celebrated the spirit of scientific inquiry, discovery and innovation while demonstrating how performing arts can make historical and scientific knowledge more engaging for audiences.

The play was directed by Dr. Rakesh Bhatt, whose artistic leadership guided the student performers in presenting this tribute to India’s scientific heritage.
