The BharatCodeFest Hackathon, organized under the Indian Knowledge System (IKS) initiative at Quantum University, Roorkee, brought together first-year and senior students from diverse disciplines to explore the intersection of India’s cultural and intellectual heritage with modern technological innovation.

The hackathon created a collaborative environment where coding, creativity, and problem-solving came together. Participants worked in teams to develop solutions across areas including AI for social impact, sustainable technology, digital safety, and open innovation. Faculty mentors and industry experts guided the teams throughout the process, helping participants consider both technical feasibility and the integration of IKS principles into their projects.

The evaluation process emphasized innovation, practicality, teamwork, and cultural integration, encouraging students to approach technology-driven challenges from multiple perspectives. The competition also provided participants with an opportunity to strengthen their collaborative and problem-solving abilities while exploring ways to connect traditional knowledge with contemporary technological applications.

The winning teams and runners-up were recognized with certificates, trophies, and appreciation for their innovative efforts and collaborative spirit. The recognition reinforced the importance of creativity, teamwork, and purposeful innovation in student-led technology projects.

Beyond the competitive aspect, BharatCodeFest ’26 served as a platform for skill development, networking, and experiential learning. The event encouraged students to explore projects that bring together ancient knowledge and modern science, contributing to a learning environment where cultural understanding and technological innovation can progress together.
