The Department of Management Studies, Quantum University, organized an industrial visit to Alex Panels, Dehradun, on 26 May 2026 for the students of BBA 4th Semester. A total of 48 students participated in the visit. The visit was aimed at providing practical exposure to manufacturing operations and helping students understand the real-world application of management concepts in an industrial environment.

Alex Panels, a leading manufacturer of Aluminium Composite Panels (ACP) and a flagship brand of Punjab Plywood Industries (Black Cobra Group), welcomed the students and introduced them to the company’s organizational structure, product portfolio, manufacturing processes, and market operations. Students learned about the company’s wide range of ACP products, including fire-rated, corrugated, 3D, and multi-coat finish panels used in architectural and interior applications.

A major highlight of the visit was the tour of the company’s state-of-the-art manufacturing facility and fully integrated colour coating plant. Students observed advanced coating technologies and gained insights into the use of PVDF, FEVE, and Polyester coating systems that ensure product durability, weather resistance, and high-quality finishes. The company experts also explained the importance of product innovation, customization, and quality assurance in maintaining competitiveness in the market.

During the interaction sessions, students engaged with company professionals and gained valuable knowledge about production planning, operations management, supply chain processes, industrial safety standards, and workplace discipline. The visit enabled students to understand how theoretical concepts taught in classrooms are implemented in large-scale manufacturing organizations and how technology drives operational excellence.

The industrial visit proved to be highly informative and enriching for the students. It enhanced their understanding of modern manufacturing practices, quality control systems, and industrial management while strengthening their industry readiness. Such experiential learning initiatives reflect Quantum University’s commitment to providing students with practical exposure and preparing them for successful careers in the corporate and manufacturing sectors.
