Aur Karo Theatre – A Melodic Celebration of Stories and Stage at Quantum University

28 July 2025

A soulful evening that brought theatre, music, and storytelling to life

Quantum University recently had the distinct honor of hosting a transformative artistic experience – “Aur Karo Theatre”, a 90-minute musical theatrical performance that immersed the audience in the timeless beauty of theatre. The event, managed by the brilliant team at Wide Wings Media, was much more than a performance—it was a living tribute to the enduring power of expression, collaboration, and the spoken word.

The university campus, usually buzzing with academic energy, transformed into a cultural sanctuary for one magical evening. Students, faculty, and art lovers gathered in anticipation, and they weren’t disappointed. The auditorium pulsed with laughter, emotion, and applause, as each scene unfolded with precision and passion.

Legends Took the Stage: A Line-up That Lit Up the Night

The performance brought together a stellar cast of artists, each a master of their craft, who infused every second of the show with authenticity and depth.

Gopal Datt – Actor. Director. Wordsmith. Storyteller.

The heart of the evening was none other than Gopal Datt, a name that echoes through the corridors of Indian theatre and cinema. Known for his versatility and wit, Gopal didn’t just perform—he wrote, directed, and led the entire production with unparalleled finesse. His storytelling was rich in nuance, alternating between comedy and contemplation. With his signature expressions, he pulled the audience into each narrative, made them laugh out loud, reflect deeply, and applaud from the heart.

“From script to stage, a journey of passion and purpose.”

He showed students what it means to breathe life into words, to connect deeply with an audience, and to command a stage with humility and passion.

Shantanu Herlekar – The Voice That Spoke Without Words

Music has a language of its own—and Shantanu Herlekar spoke it fluently. With every note from his harmonium and every verse of his soulful vocals, he created an emotional undercurrent that flowed through the performance. His presence on stage was calm, yet profoundly moving. Whether it was a light-hearted tune or a soul-searching ballad, Shantanu’s melodies added color and feeling to every act.

He reminded the audience that music doesn’t just support a story—it tells one.

Bharat Kukreti – Comedy’s Craftsman & Creative Mentor

Adding to the night’s gravitas was the presence of Bharat Kukreti, the celebrated writer behind India’s most loved comedy platform, The Kapil Sharma Show. His decades of experience in writing, comedy, and scripting for television made him a beacon of knowledge and inspiration. Bharat’s interaction with students was one of the night’s most anticipated moments. He shared rare insights, behind-the-scenes experiences, and a glimpse into the discipline that goes into creating laughter professionally.

His words were not just informative—they were motivational, pushing young creatives to write fearlessly and think originally.

Real Conversations, Real Learning: Students Meet the Stars

The performance concluded with an interactive session that was as memorable as the show itself. Students eagerly asked questions, ranging from script development to stagecraft, from comedic timing to managing emotions on stage. The guests responded with warmth and sincerity, generously sharing personal stories, professional tips, and honest advice.

“An evening where every beat, word, and pause told a story worth remembering.”
