Quantum University, Roorkee, hosted an engaging Theatre and Skit Competition as part of ABHIVYAKTI 2026 – The Inter-University Cultural Festival, bringing together students from different institutions to celebrate creativity, storytelling and artistic expression. The competition provided a platform for participants to communicate meaningful ideas through acting, drama and stage performances, making theatre a key highlight of the festival.

The theatre competition recorded 42 registrations and featured two themes: Social Theme-Based Drama and Indian Mythology. Through their performances, participants explored relevant social issues and drew inspiration from India's rich mythological traditions. Their presentations showcased acting skills, storytelling, teamwork, stage presence and creative interpretation, demonstrating the power of theatre to communicate ideas and engage audiences.

Alongside theatre, the Rangoli Competition recorded 49 registrations, providing students with an opportunity to showcase their artistic imagination through traditional visual art. The competition celebrated creativity, design and cultural expression, complementing the festival’s focus on diverse forms of artistic talent. Together, the Theatre and Rangoli competitions recorded 91 registration records, reflecting interest in the cultural and creative activities at ABHIVYAKTI 2026.

The competitions encouraged students from different institutions to exchange ideas, express themselves creatively and participate in a shared cultural experience beyond the classroom. The Theatre and Skit Competition, in particular, highlighted the role of performing arts in communicating social messages, interpreting cultural narratives and strengthening students’ confidence and collaborative skills.

Through ABHIVYAKTI 2026, Quantum University continues to promote cultural exchange, inter-university collaboration and holistic student development. The Theatre and Rangoli competitions provided platforms for students to explore their artistic potential, celebrate cultural traditions and demonstrate their creativity through performance and visual art.
